As an ROTC cadet it is expected of me to participate in extracurricular activities designed to make us well rounded leaders.  As one such activity, I chose to use my participation in the Ranger Challenge competition last fall for my project.  Ranger Challenge is a competition designed to showcase the cadets technical and tactical knowledge as well as physical prowess.  Participation in this competition during cadets third year in the program awards them merits which help bolster their ranking among other cadets in their class.  As I was in my third year, my participation helped me rank 3rd in my battalion and provided a stable platform from which to launch my career after graduation.
